About Caryl

Healer & Founder of The Still Point Works

I’ve always noticed patterns.

I never thought much about it until I studied Fine Arts and Chinese Energetic Medicine; looking back, I realized I'd been observing the world that way all along.

Whether I was working with clay, designing textiles, photographing nature, building technology, or studying psychology, I found myself returning to the same questions.

Why do we repeat the patterns we wish we didn't?

What happens when we interrupt them?

How do we learn to trust ourselves enough to choose differently?

Those questions continue to drive my passion for this work.

What led me here

Traditional Japanese garden with a pond filled with pink and white water lilies, surrounded by lush green trees, and a wooden bridge and pavilion in the background.

For more than 25 years, I built digital products and led teams in technology. I loved solving complex problems, moving between the big picture and the details, and supporting the people I worked with. Along the way, I became as interested in how people think, communicate, and work together as I was in the products we were building.

At the same time, I was exploring Qigong, Chinese Energetic Medicine, Daoist life mapping, spiritual practices, and other disciplines. I wanted to understand an experience I’d had through energy work — what had happened, why it worked, and how it connected to everything else I’d studied.

Rather than finding separate answers, I found different ways of exploring many of the same questions.

I created The Still Point Works to bring these different ways of understanding ourselves and creating change together.

My work draws from years of study and practice across Eastern and Western traditions, integrating mind, body, energy, and spirit.

We begin by getting curious about what’s influencing you — connecting the dots, clearing some of the noise, and creating more space to hear yourself, trust yourself, and see what else might be possible.
